Here it is after boiling for about 40 minutes. Boil the syrup for 40-50 minutes on mid-high heat. You boil til it reaches the thickness that you would prefer. Remember to refrigerate after it has cooled.

My Mother got the syrup recipe from me. I made it all the time when we lived in St. Johns. I would make the whole batch and put it in the frig. I also added puree fruit to the syrup. It tasted so good on whole wheat pancakes.
